The Haikuleana Country Inn is a superior, first-class hotel located upcountry, on the north side of Maui, 12 miles from the Kahului (OGG) Airport. Built circa 1870 as a residence for the first doctor of the old Hawaiian Pineapple Plantation, Haikuleana (pronounced hi-koo-lee-ana), is situated among pineapple fields and towering Cook Island pine trees. Only half a mile from the center of Haiku village, this hotel is within easy reach of Haikuleana, where you will find golf, fresh water pools with waterfalls, ocean swimming, as well as secluded coves for snorkeling or scuba diving. The exotically unique island of Maui, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean is awaiting your arrival. Recently refurbished, the original 12-foot ceilings and early Hawaiian architecture have been preserved. The entire house is elegantly furnished with tropical period pieces, 19th century Connecticut antiques, 18th and 19th century Hawaiian art and maps. There are ceiling fans throughout the house. There are three in-house guest accommodations, each entirely different in décor. Each suite welcomes you with tropical flowers, a fresh pitcher of filtered alkaline water, and its own private bathroom. All suites have a comfortable living room, dining room, foyer, front porch, and large deck. Peacefully situated on two acres of secluded parkland, Haikuleana offers a variety of charming walks or places to sit and relax inside or out. Located at 500 feet above sea level, the trade winds keep the temperature comfortable in the day and cool for sleeping at night, even during midsummer nights. The Haikuleana Country Inn is convenient to dining, shopping and entertainment venues.

From Kahului International Airport:
Follow the signs to Hana Highway #36, and pass through the old mill town of Paia.
(Just beyond the famous restaurant Mama's Fish House, you will pass Ho'okipa Beach Park, on of the wind-surfing capitols of the world.)
Continue on Hana Highway and then at mile marker 11, turn right onto Haiky Road.
Continue 1.1 miles until the road forks.
Turn right and immediately on your left at 555 Haiku Road you will see a sign with the hotel logo of a pink and green pineapple made out of hearts.
